Chairman of Cabinet Zhaparov is in Washington, D.C. for working trip

Bishkek, April 20, 2022 . / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov is in Washington, DC (United States) for a working trip.

The Cabinet of Ministers in its activities attaches great importance to the development of renewable energy sources, environmental protection, implementation of safe energy projects and preservation of ecological balance, including agreements reached during the climate summit of world leaders in Glasgow, its press service said.

During the working trip, the head of the Cabinet will participate in the Annual Meeting of Board of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, as well as hold a number of meetings in the framework of the 30th anniversary of cooperation of Kyrgyzstan with the World Bank.

These meetings will discuss a wide range of issues, including economic development and renewable energy sources, attracting investment in the energy sector and the construction of small hydropower plants and Kambar-Ata HPP-1.
