Meeting held between three Central Asian PMs

Bishkek, Jan.8, 2025. /Kabar/. A trilateral meeting was held between Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet reported that the sides noted that this meeting is held within the framework of previously reached agreements on state borders between three leaders-Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon.

The prime ministers of the three countries emphasized that the countries have great potential for strengthening cooperation in such key areas as trade, logistics, water-energy and cultural-humanitarian ties. An important component of cooperation, in their opinion, is the development of cross-border and inter-regional cooperation, which will become an engine for intensifying interaction between the countries.

In addition, the meeting noted the completion of the process of delimitation of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and exchange of instruments of ratification to the agreement “On the Kyrgyz-Uzbek State Border”.

The agreement on the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan from Dec.4, 2024 noted the special importance of completing the process of description of the remaining sections of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, the working groups need to prepare final documents within a short period of time.

At the end of the meeting, the heads of government expressed confidence that today's meeting will determine the fate of the region for decades to come in the interests of the welfare of peoples and countries. The meeting of heads of state to be held in the future will contribute to the development of good-neighborly relations and multifaceted partnership between the brotherly countries.

The meeting was held at the junction point of the state borders of three countries - in Batken Oblast of Kyrgyzstan, Fergana Oblast of Uzbekistan and Sughd Oblast of Tajikistan.
