Bishkek, July 13, 2020. /Kabar/. Chairman of Russia's State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin has sent to Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Dastanbek Dzhumabekov a telegram of condolence on the passing of ex-Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Chynybai Tursunbekov.
According to the Kyrgyz Parliament's press service, the telegram reads:
"I learned with sadness of the passing of former Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Chynybai Tursunbekov.
He made a great contribution to the development of Russian-Kyrgyz inter-parliamentary cooperation, strengthening friendship between our peoples.
On behalf of deputies of the State Duma of Russia's Federal Assembly and on my own behalf, I ask you to convey our deep condolences to family and friends of the late Chynybai Tursunbekov".
Ex-Speaker of the Parliament Chynybai Tursunbekov, 60, died July 6 from double pneumonia.
On Apr. 27, 2016 he was elected speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, since October 2018 served as deputy of the Parliament.
Tursunbekov was buried at Ala-Archa Cemetery in Bishkek.
