Chairman of SPMF meets EBRD delegation

Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2019. /Kabar/. Chairman of the State Property Management Fund (SPMF) under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Renat Tuleberdiev met a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development led by Managing Director of Central Asia Bruno Balvanera.

Representatives of a number of state-owned companies also took part in the meeting, the press service of the SPMF reported.

Tuleberdiev welcomed Balvanera, noting that the Fund sees the financial institution as its reliable partner and expressed hope for effective cooperation and work in several areas in the field of state property management.

“It is important for the State Property Management Fund to ensure transparency in the activities of state-owned companies, to increase their investment attractiveness, and also to create opportunities for companies to enter the IPO market. In this aspect, we hope for productive cooperation with the EBRD,” he said.

EBRD Managing Director of Central Asia Bruno Balvanera, in turn, expressed his willingness and focus on effective cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a range of issues related to the reform of the state property management system, increasing transparency and accountability of state-owned companies.
