Checkpoints on Kyrgyz-Chinese border to be temporarily closed

Bishkek, June 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . Checkpoints on the border between Kyrgyzstan and China will be temporarily closed, the press service of the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for National Security said on Friday.

"At the initiative of the Chinese side, in connection with the celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival in China, the Torugart-Avtodorozhnyi and Irkeshtam-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoints, located on the Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border, will be temporarily closed on June 14 for cargo movement," the report says.

The passage of vehicles and cargo will resume on June 15, 2021.

The Torugart-Avtodorozhnyi and Irkeshtam-Avtodorozhnyi operate under a special algorithm, which provides only for the movement of goods from China to Kyrgyzstan.
