Bishkek, Aug. 1, 2018. / Kabar /. The Chess Federation of Kyrgyzstan promotes the idea of ​​including a subject on chess in the basic curriculum of the country's general educational institutions, President of the Chess Federation Milan Turpanov told reporters at Kabar News Agency.

A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Chess Federation and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the idea of ​​introducing the subject of chess as compulsory, along with the usual ones, is being promoted.

"To this end, the Federation will provide a report to the Ministry on the basis of the experience of foreign countries, which compare the results of children in ordinary schools and where chess is part of the curriculum. Further, as a pilot project, the chess subject is planned to be introduced in some schools in the cities of Bishkek and Osh, and after a certain time, again to conduct an analysis," he said.
