Chief medical doctor asks citizens to observe social distance to avoid infection

Bishkek, May 23, 2020 / Kabar/. Social and economic activities in the country are gradually resuming. Therefore, there is a risk of infection with the virus, Nurbolot Usenbaev, the chief sanitary doctor, deputy health minister of Kyrgyzstan told at a news briefing

He called on citizens to maintain social distance from other people around. “The rules of personal hygiene are the responsibility and duty of every citizen for their health. It is important that sanitary and epidemiological rules are observed in all business entities,” said Usenbaev.

Kyrgyzstan imposed a lockdown on March 25, and restrictive measures are gradually have been lifting since May 1.

Shopping centers, clothing stores, automobile and livestock markets, and shops began to work in the republic from May 21.
