Bishkek, Nov. 19, 2018. / Kabar /. Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Rayimberdi Duishenbiev met with Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kyrgyz Republic Donald Lu, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Head of the General Staff congratulated Lu on his appointment to a high position and noted that the Kyrgyz-American cooperation in the military field has always occupied a special place in the overall system of relations between the two states.
Bilateral military contacts between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States are developing in areas such as training in special courses, assistance in preparing a second-level hospital to participate in UN peacekeeping activities, and advanced training for Kyrgyz military personnel under the IMET training programs.
In conclusion, Duishenbiev reaffirmed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to further strengthen and intensify military cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries.
