Chief of General Staff of Kyrgyz Armed Forces and Indian Ambassador discuss bilateral military cooperation

Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2020 / Kabar /. Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Omuraliev met with Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kyrgyz Republic Alok Amitabh Dimri and military attaché Colonel Murali Mohan, the press service of the General Staff reported.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the current aspects of bilateral military cooperation, Omuraliev emphasized the high level of Kyrgyz-Indian relations in the field of military-technical and military cooperation between the two countries. Illustrative examples of bilateral cooperation are the annual mountain training drills with Indian instructors at the Edelweiss training center in Kyrgyzstan, training courses for psychologist officers, the organization of joint exercises of the Kanzhar special forces, projects in the field of military-technical cooperation , training of military personnel, exchange of visits, etc.

Omuraliev also expressed confidence in further fruitful work in the implementation of joint projects in the field of mountain medicine, modernization of weapons and military equipment and the creation of a simulation center using simulators for armored vehicles and various types of small arms.

In conclusion, Omuraliev noted that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic will make every effort to develop cooperation in the spirit of alliance and friendship, and intends to continue working together to ensure the security of our states.
