Bishkek, June 6, 2022 . / Kabar / . It is planned to start vaccinating children against COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan, Acting Minister of Health of the republic Zharkynbek Kasymbekov said at a meeting of the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Jogorku Kenesh on Monday.
He noted that currently there are no coronavirus cases in the country, but this is not a reason to relax.
"Due to the impact of the coronavirus infection, some childhood diseases are changed, and we plan to start vaccinating a certain group of children against COVID-19. It is also a priority to vaccinate the elderly, social workers, medics, teachers and military," the acting minister added.
Kasymbekov noted that the virus mutates, other pathogenic forms are identified and the country must be prepared.
The Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Jogorku Kenesh considered today a bill on "On Ratification of the Credit Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank (Support to Enhance COVID-19 Asia Pacific Vaccine Access Facility) and the Grant Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank (Support to Enhance COVID-19 Asia Pacific Vaccine Access Facility), signed Dec. 28, 2021 in Bishkek", introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
