Tashkent, Apr. 17, 2020. /Kabar/. China has sent groups to Uzbekistan, the press service of the Chinese Embassy in Tashkent reported Friday.
On Apr 17, a group of Chinese consultants and medical experts consisting of 15 people has left for Uzbekistan to support the Uzbek people in the fight against COVID-19.
Earlier, Chief State Sanitary Inspector Nurmat Atabekov announced arrival of the Chinese doctors in Uzbekistan.
According to him, the issue was directly addressed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and PM of the republic held talks.
"Chinese specialists are expected to arrive on special plane to check treatment methods and develop a plan of further measures", Kun.uz reports citing Nurmat Atabekov.
As of 10:00 a.m. on Apr. 17, 2020, number of registered cases of coronavirus infections in Uzbekistan has reached 1380, 140 have recovered and four have died.
