China starts buying by-products from Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2022. / Kabar /. In 2022, China imported 82.2 tons of by-products from Kyrgyzstan for USD 107.6 thousand. Such data are given in the report of the National Statistical Committee.

All this volume was purchased by Hong Kong, paying an average of USD 1.3 per kilogram. Last year, the main buyers of this product were Uzbekistan (73%) and Tajikistan (27%). In total, for 10 months of 2021, neighboring countries imported 164.4 tons of by-products. This is 2 times more than this year. But at the same time, the average price of goods was USD 0.4, which is 3 times less than the cost at which China imports.

At the same time, 61.1 tons of by-products worth USD 100.3 thousand, or USD 1.6 per kilogram, were exported to Russia from Kyrgyzstan in the specified period.
