Bishkek, May 27, 2024. /Kabar/. The opening ceremony of the Joint Media Work Center of China (Khorgos) and the countries of Central Asia took place on May 25, in the city of Khorgos, on the territory of the International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation
The ceremony was attended by the heads of the press center of the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, representatives of China News Service and journalists from Central Asian countries.
Li Dehua, director of China News Service, noted in his speech that the opening of this platform is the result of cooperation between the media of Central Asian countries and China.
“The platform plays a big role in strengthening friendship and cooperation between China and Central Asian countries,” he said.
Li Dehua also expressed hope that the new media platform will promote exchange and cooperation between the media of Xinjiang and Central Asia, and mutual understanding between people.
“Xinjiang is a vast region with rich culture and resources, which is the core of the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
Central Asia and China's XUAR are at important nodes in the construction of the One Belt, One Road Initiative, and media cooperation is of great importance to strengthen mutual understanding between our peoples,” he added.
The participants of the event expressed hope that the new platform will contribute to further development of cooperation and exchange of news between media outlets of China and Central Asian countries.
