First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, co-chairman of the Kyrgyz-Chinese intergovernmental commission Muhammetkaly Abulgaziev received representatives of a number of Chinese companies doing business in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported.
The meeting was attended by Chinese Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Xiao Qinghua.
First Deputy Prime Minister Mukhammetkaliy Abulgaziev said that China is a friendly neighbor for Kyrgyzstan, a reliable partner.
"Kyrgyzstan is open to foreign investors and is interested in attracting investments in the national economy of the country. We are trying to create favorable conditions for doing business on the territory of our country, including for foreign entrepreneurs. Our good-neighborly relations with China are based on mutual understanding and respect, and we intend to develop them, particularly in the economic sphere," Muhammetkaly Abulgaziev said.
Ambassador Xiao Qinghua emphasized that China highly values good-neighborly relations with Kyrgyzstan and is committed to strengthening relations in all areas of cooperation.
"We are ready to develop bilateral cooperation in all areas of the economy, in particular in the fields of agriculture, transport and infrastructure. China is ready to discuss proposals for investment, implementation of joint major projects. China is interested in bringing our cooperation to a higher, new level," the Ambassador said.
During the meeting representatives of Chinese companies informed about the achievements in the implementation of their projects implemented in the territory of Kyrgyzstan, in particular in the mining industry, energy and transport infrastructure.
The sides discussed further joint work aimed at the effective development of partnership in the trade and economic sphere.
First Deputy Prime Minister Mukhammetkaly Abulgaziev stressed that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic always supports investors, open for their suggestions on improving the conditions for doing business in the country.
