Bishkek, Apr. 21, 2020 / Kabar /. A delegation of 11 medical experts arrived from China to Kyrgyzstan on Monday to provide assistance, as well as share experience with their Kyrgyz colleagues on the fight against coronavirus infection.
The press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic said that today the delegation visited the disease prevention department of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance and got acquainted with the work of the department’s laboratory.
According to Aigul Dzhumakanova, the head of the laboratory, the delegation includes epidemiologists, virologists and laboratory staff. “We discussed with our colleagues from China all the important issues, they shared with us their experience in the fight against COVID-19 and gave the necessary advice. Chinese experts noted that our testing and treatment methods are similar to their methods and that the virus can be defeated only by taking precautions,” said Aigul Dzhumakanova.
It is expected that Chinese specialists will stay in Kyrgyzstan for about a week, during which they will fruitfully work with Kyrgyz specialists and share best practices and methods in treating patients.
