Bishkek, April 30, 2021. / Kabar /. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin on April 30, at a regular Foreign Ministry briefing, commented on the conflict on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
“We've noted relevant reports. We understand Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have reached a comprehensive ceasefire agreement regarding the border clash, and leaders on both sides have said that they will resolve the conflict through negotiation,” the spokesperson said.
The diplomat noted that Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are both China's friendly neighbors and comprehensive strategic partners. “We hope and trust that they will properly resolve differences and disagreements in the spirit of mutual respect and friendly consultation to jointly safeguard regional peace and stability,” he added.
