Bishkek, Dec. 31, 2021. / Kabar /. A ceremony of signing of two Agreements on the provision of gratuitous aid by the Chinese government was held on Dec. 31 at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with the previously reached agreements at the highest level between Kyrgyzstan and China.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Commerce, within the framework of the first agreement, 350 million yuan will be allocated, and within the second - 650 million yuan. Thus, the total amount allocated by the two Agreements is 1 billion yuan.
The allocated funds will finance socio-economic and infrastructure projects previously agreed upon between the Parties.
From the Kyrgyz side, these agreements were signed by Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev, from the Chinese side - by Ambassador Du Dewen.
During the meeting, Amangeldiev noted that the People's Republic of China is one of the main trade and investment partners of the Kyrgyz Republic. The minister also noted that a number of projects are currently being implemented in Kyrgyzstan at the expense of the Chinese government's grant funds.
Following the meeting, the Minister congratulated Du Dewen on the upcoming New Year and awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic for her personal contribution to the development of trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China.
