Brussels, Nov. 20, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov will participate in a meeting of Foreign Ministers of Central Asia with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Managing Director of the Central Asia Department of the European External Action Service Boris Yaroshevich told at a briefing in Brussels.
The meeting will be attended by foreign ministers of all Central Asian countries.
A similar meeting was held last year in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
“At the upcoming meeting, the ministers will discuss the situation in the region, common challenges, in particular climate change, ecology, security issues, as well as the possibility of cooperation between Central Asia and the European Union. The results of the negotiations will provide information for future plans for the development of cooperation in the fields of politics and development,” he said.
Aidarbekov’s bilateral meeting with Mogherini is also expected.
