Chingiz Aitmatov’s book presented in Islamabad

Bishkek, July 7, 2021. / Kabar /. A presentation of Chingiz Aitmatov's book was held on July 6 in Islamabad, which included the stories: "Jamila", "Farewell, Gyulsary" and "Piebald dog running by the edge of the sea", translated and published into Urdu by the Academy of Literature of Pakistan, at the initiative of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Pakistan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the event was attended by writers, scientists, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the media.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Erik Beishembiev in his speech noted that the presentation of Chingiz Aitmatov's book took place in the year of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, spoke about the main stages of development of the Kyrgyz statehood, informed about the life path and rich literary heritage of Aitmatov, whose works have been translated into 176 languages.

As part of the event, the Embassy also showed a documentary about Chingiz Aitmatov, organized a photo exhibition, stands, published tourist booklets, and sounded Kyrgyz songs.
