Bishkek, Aug. 16, 2021. / Kabar /. An official opening of the next VIII international training on diving training under the auspices of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) took place in Cholpon-Ata today, on August 16.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 24 representatives from 14 ICDO member countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Georgia , UAE, Palestine, Jordan, Bahrain, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
The purpose of these trainings is to educate and exchange experience, establish permanent contact in the field of “diving training” between rescue units from the ICDO member states.
Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Urmatbek Shamyrkanov made a welcoming speech, who noted the importance and significance of the conducted diving trainings, contributing to the development of international cooperation in the field of Civil protection, prevention and elimination of emergencies with the national civil defense services of the member countries of the international civil defense organization.
Within the framework of the 12-day training program, it is planned to conduct classes on safety and labor protection during diving work, the effective use of diving equipment and equipment, as well as practical diving under water to a depth of 40 m.
The International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) is an intergovernmental organization whose goal is to help states create structures that provide protection and assistance to the population, as well as the protection of property and the environment in the face of natural and man-made disasters. The International Civil Defense Organization has been operating since 1972. Today it includes 60 countries of the world and 16 more as observers. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan has been a member of the ICDO since 2012 and actively participates in all events.
