Citizen of Afghanistan detained in Kyrgyzstan with drugs

Bishkek, June 13, 2022. / Kabar /. An Afghan citizen was detained in Kyrgyzstan with a large consignment of heroin and hashish intended for sale in Europe, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Narcotic drugs of Afghan origin were seized on an especially large scale: heroin - 6 kg 942 and hashish - 9 kg 550.

The detainee was planning to transport these drugs to Kyrgyzstan for further transportation and sale in Europe.

The detainee was placed in the temporary detention center of Kadamzhai region of Batken Oblast. It has been established that the detainee is an adherent of a destructive religious movement. The investigation is underway.
