Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2022 / Kabar /. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic states that the information published on the website Ozodi.org “As a result of the explosion of a mortar shell fired by Kyrgyz military personnel, a local resident was wounded” is absolutely untrue.

The press service of the Kyrgyz State Committee said that the Kyrgyz side strictly adheres to the reached bilateral agreements, fixed both by international agreements and protocol No. 42 of the meeting of the delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan on stabilizing the situation in the border areas of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic draws the attention of the competent and law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan to the media that disseminate deliberately false information that contributes to inciting ethnic conflict and provocations on the jointly guarded border.

We note that the information published on the Ozodi.org website was not confirmed by the border representatives of Tajikistan for the Isfara section and representatives of other competent authorities.

As it turned out, a Tajik citizen was blown up by a trip wire installed by Tajik military personnel near the border.

The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic calls on the media of Tajikistan not to mislead the society and residents of the border areas of the two countries with such false and unfounded statements.

As of 21:30 September 26, 2022, the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border is characterized as stable.
