Citizens of Kyrgyzstan returned to homeland from Russian capital

Bishkek, June 28, 2020. /Kabar/. Plane of Aeroflot - Russian Airlines on the Moscow-Bishkek route has arrived in Kyrgyzstan Sunday.

393 citizens of Kyrgyzstan-students studying in Russian universities have been returned from Russia, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

"This flight was performed as part of implementation of agreements, reached by the Kyrgyz, Russian Foreign Ministries in accordance with the instruction of President and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the ongoing work on the return of Kyrgyz citizens, located in foreign countries because of temporary closure of borders and the suspension of international passenger air traffic due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the world,” the report says.

Members of the national power lifting team of the Kyrgyz Republic who were on the territory of Russia for the purpose of training in connection with preparation for the upcoming Paralympic Games in Tokyo, as well as citizens who have serious illnesses and in need of urgent return to Kyrgyzstan, including due to death of close relatives have been returned to the homeland.

All those arrived will be placed under surveillance (observation) to undergo appropriate medical procedures in accordance with the established procedure.

"Organization of such flights, designed specifically for the removal of students will be consistently continued," the report says.
