CAA about crossing border of Kyrgyzstan for Kyrgyz citizens and foreigners

Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2020 / Kabar /. Currently, Kyrgyzstan has resumed international regular flights with a number of countries, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) of the Kyrgyz Republic Kurmanbek Akyshev told reporters at Kabar News Agency.

He said that the flights are open to Istanbul - 16 flights per week; Tashkent - 2 flights per week; and to Moscow - Bishkek - 1 flight per week.

“Today there are also charter flights to such Russian cities as Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Surgut, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk. In total, in the period from March to August, 153 flights were carried out from Russia and 27,296 citizens were brought back,” he said.

The Civil Aviation Agency recalls that in connection with the approval of new algorithms of actions to prevent the import and spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in relation to foreign citizens and stateless persons crossing the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic and persons traveling on domestic airlines, it is necessary:

- to present at check-in to the airline representatives the results of a PCR test, indicating the absence of COVID-19, made no later than 72 hours before departure;

- the absence of clinical manifestations of coronavirus infection and a negative result of a PCR study, except for preschool children accompanied by their parents (legal representatives);

- the use of masks, antiseptics by passengers on board the aircraft, as well as when crossing checkpoints of the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In addition, upon arrival of an aircraft at international airports of the Kyrgyz Republic, thermometry is carried out on board the aircraft or in the arrival halls of air terminal complexes.

PCR tests are not required for Kyrgyz citizens upon arrival in Kyrgyzstan, it is required to observe the regime of mandatory self-isolation at the place of stay and residence for 14 days;

A foreign citizen and a stateless person must undergo a PCR test at the place of arrival in case of expiration of the validity period of the PCR test (72 hours) for objective reasons related to the flight and delayed flights.
