Bishkek, Dec.27, 2024. /Kabar/. The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the world arena, expert Iskender Sharsheyev told Kabar News Agency.
He noted that if this project is launched, China will be attached to Turkey and Europe through Central Asia, and Kyrgyzstan will turn into an important transportation country. The time and cost of cargo delivery will be reduced, and additional funds will flow into the country's budget.
Sharsheyev added that local producers will have access to new markets, which will help to increase the country's export potential. Along with the construction of the railroad, new roads, warehouses and other infrastructure facilities will appear, which will contribute to the development of the national economy.
“Social significance of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project is also great. During the construction as well as operation of this railway, thousands of jobs will be created and the population will be provided with work. In the regions where the railroad will pass, there will be an increase in economic activity, and the level of social status of local communities will grow. In addition, in the geopolitical arena this project is of great importance. The new railway will pull Kyrgyzstan out of the transportation deadlock and provide alternative routes. This in turn, of course, will strengthen the geopolitical position of the country. This project will strengthen relations between Kyrgyzstan, China and Uzbekistan and create conditions for regional integration,” he said.
The expert emphasized that successful implementation of this project will reduce risks in terms of logistics and can become a pillar of international trade.
