Cluster approach to reducing impact of climate change in Kyrgyz education sector discussed in Baku

Bishkek, Nov.20, 2024. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz pavilion at the CO26 in Azerbaijan’s Baku hoisted a special event was held on the topic: "Climate Change: Mitigation of the Consequences, Adaptation and Path Solutions in the Educational System of Kyrgyzstan", under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Bekzhan Supanaliev made a presentation on the ongoing reforms and transformation of the education system of the Kyrgyz Republic and presented the project "Cluster approach to reducing the effects of climate change in the education sector".

Regional Director of the Central, Western and Eastern Asia team of the Office of Human and Social Development of the Asian Development Bank Sofia Shakil, Specialist in Sustainability and Climate Issues from the UNICEF regional office in Europe and Central Asia Antonio Jovanovski, Director of the "Planet", UN Educational and Research Institute Angus Mackay, President of the For School Nutrition ANO Vladimir Chernigov, President of UNISON Group company Nurzat Abdyrasulova and heads of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan delivered speeches at the panel sessions.
