Committee of Red Cross to assist in repatriation of Kyrgyz children from Syria

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2021 . / Kabar / . As part of participation of Kyrgyz delegation in the work of the 76th session of United Nations General Assembly, a meeting was held on Thursday between Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbaev and President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Mauer.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the main focus of the meeting was the assistance of the ICRC in the repatriation of children of Kyrgyzstanis from Syria.

The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross expressed the full readiness of the organization to assist in this matter and closer cooperation between the Committee’s office in Bishkek and the Kyrgyz side.
