Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2020. /Kabar/. The Government of Kyrgyzstan has simplified the conditions of entry in the country for foreigners and stateless persons. The relevant amendments have been made to the order of the Kyrgyz Government on March 17, 2020, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
In accordance with the amendments, under the conditions of the restrictive measures on admission to Kyrgyzstan of foreign nationals and stateless persons, taken to ensure the protection of public health and prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the following categories of foreign nationals and stateless persons may enter the republic in addition:
- citizens of foreign states and stateless persons studying in higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- citizens of foreign states and stateless persons who have permanent residence permits in the Kyrgyz Republic;
- citizens of foreign states and stateless persons who are heading for treatment to medical institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic;
- citizens of foreign states and stateless persons going to funerals of close relatives.
Besides, as part of the implementation of economic measures, aimed at minimizing the consequences associated with the proliferation of coronavirus in the republic, it was decided to gradually resume the admission of foreign nationals.
