Conference on development of state administration of Kyrgyzstan at present stage

Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2018. /Kabar/. The International Foresight Conference on “The Development of the State Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic at the Present Stage” was held at the Academy of Public Administration (APA) with the participation of national and international experts in the field of public administration.

The conference was held in the framework of the National Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018-2040 and other state initiatives in the field of public administration.

The purpose of the conference was to discuss key areas of development, prospects, challenges and risks of public administration of the Kyrgyz Republic in the context of the National Development Strategy for 2018-2040.

The conference was attended by over 100 representatives of the Kyrgyz Parliament, state bodies, embassies and diplomatic missions in the Kyrgyz Republic, international and donor organizations, research, academic and educational circles, expert and academic communities, civil society institutions.

During the conference, panel discussions were held on such topics as:

- program drivers for the development of the National Development Strategy for 2018-2040, Decree on the development of regions and other state initiatives;

- digital projects and platforms of Kyrgyzstan for public administration;

- current directions of increasing the potential of human resources in the state and municipal service of the Kyrgyz Republic, where, based on the results of the work, taking into account the recommendations and proposals, a resolution was adopted.

At the conference, a wide range of issues of public administration, in particular, problems of optimizing the interaction of the state, business and society, modern challenges in connection with the development of a digital state, trends in the development of public administration in contemporary Kyrgyzstan and competencies and professionalism of public servants were also discussed.

The main result of the foresight conference, which is development of a coherent, reasonable and mutually acceptable picture of the further development of public administration, was achieved in the process of discussions and deliberations by conference participants.

The conference was held in partnership with the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, as well as with the methodological support of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
