Bishkek, Sept. 8, 2020. /Kabar/. Construction and restoration works were carried out in a number of health care facilities. As of Sept. 4, the works have been completed in 7 hospitals, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov told during a briefing Tuesday.
According to him, the professional lyceum in the village of Bash-Bulak of Kara-Suu region, Osh Oblast was converted into a 150-bed hospital.
"The 45-bed hospital in Orlovka (Chui Oblast) was completely renovated. The old building of the polyclinic was overhauled in Batken Oblast and a 90-bed hospital was built. 100 beds appeared in Dzhalal-Abad Surgical Center, 60 beds – in medical center in Kok-Zhangak town (Dzhalal-Abad Oblast), 150 beds - in main department of Oblast Joint Hospital in Karakol city (Issyk-Kul Oblast), and 70 beds in Cholpon-Ata Regional Hospital,” the prime minister said.
According to the head of the government, work at other hospitals is in full swing.
"To date, construction of an infectious diseases hospital in Bishkek has been completed by 70%. This hospital is built with a quick-build special structure. It is designed and built to fight various infectious diseases, including coronavirus," he said.
Kubatbek Boronov noted there is a sufficient stock of medicines in the warehouse, and information about their delivery by pharmaceutical companies is updated daily.
"In addition, all the hospitals under construction will be fully equipped with medical equipment and furniture," the prime minister added.
