Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2021. / Kabar /. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Aziz Aaliyev familiarized with the construction of an alternative North-South highway during his working trip visit to Naryn Oblasn, the press service of the Cabinet reported.
Aziz Aalyiev noted that the tender commission's work has been completed and the winner was announced.
"At present, all conditions have been created to start construction of the strategically important road, including the issue of financing.
Particular attention should be paid not only to compliance with deadlines, but also to the quality of repair work. Facts of non-compliance with quality standards are unacceptable. The road must serve for the benefit of our people for many years,” the official added.
Construction of the road on Epkin - Bashkugandy (89-159 km) section of North-South alternative highway h is planned to begin in the nearest future.
On Sept. 23, a contract was signed with China Railway N:5 on the implementation of the project following a tended of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the republic.
