Construction of Bishkek-Kara-Balta road to last until 2023

Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2022 . / Kabar /. The construction of the Bishkek-Kara-Balta road will last until next year, spokesperson of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Kylychbek Dosumbetov told during a briefing on Thursday.

He added that the construction of the road continues. Thus, the first phase of 45.1 km has already been built, now there is a construction of the second stage with the length of 7.4 km.

"During the winter time there was a certain stagnation. But I think that next year the work will be completed," said Dosumbetov.

The spokesperson of the Transport Ministry added that the Bishkek-Osh - Jalal-Abad-Madaniyat road in the south of the republic is under construction, where an asphalt concrete surface has been made.

The construction of the Bishkek - Kara-Balta road was promised to finish back in the spring of 2020. However, the work is still not completed.

Meanwhile, Dosumbetov noted that the condition of the roads is not that bad.
