Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2024. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, speaking at the III People's Kurultai(Assembly), told delegates that official work on the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will begin on December 27.
The head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan was able to take a step towards high-quality development on its own, using its resources and capabilities.
The president said that the project to build the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway was gathering dust on the shelves for decades.
"When we started this project, there were those who did not believe in it, considering it a fairy tale. However, today you have all witnessed that this is a feasible project. Official work on the construction of this road will begin on December 27. It will become a strategic bridge connecting the East and the West,” the president said.
Zhaparov noted that the construction of the century will open up new opportunities for trade, tourism and industry.
