Construction of industrial trade and logistics center to begin in Naryn Oblast

Bishkek, Oct. 1, 2019 / Kabar/. Construction of an industrial trade and logistics center will begin in At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast. This became known following the meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Zamirbek Askarov with a delegation from the People's Republic of China.

Deputy PM Zamirbek Askarov noted this project is the result of agreements, reached earlier by Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and China Xi Jinping, the press service of the Government reported.

“I would like to note the initiative to build a trade and logistics center is associated with the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization. Today we discussed the key aspects of the construction of an industrial trade and logistics center in At-Bashy region. Given that we attach great importance to the development of the regions, the Government has developed and adopted all the necessary legal acts for the implementation of this project,” he said.

He also added about 13 thousand jobs will be created with the opening of the center.

Note that the total estimated cost of the project for the construction of the trade and logistics center is $ 280 million. The construction of the center will provide an inflow of investments into the region, increase the volume of industrial output and export operations, and solve a number of important social and infrastructural issues.

With the beginning of construction of the center, KGS 43 million will be transferred to the state budget, and KGS 1 million 782 thousand-to the local budget. With the commissioning of the center within 7-8 years, Naryn Oblast is expected to leave the number of subsidized regions.

Director of the Investment Promotion and Protection State Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic Shumkarbek Adylbek uulu and Governor of Naryn Oblast Emilbek Alymkulov took part in the meeting.
