Construction of infectious disease hospital in Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city completed by 48%

Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2020. /Kabar/. Construction preparedness of the experimental quickly erected infectious disease hospital in Osh city is 48%, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services reported Tuesday.

The construction of an experimental quickly erectable infectious disease hospital with a capacity of 100 beds began on July 25, 2020 at the expense of the Fund for Social Partnership Fund for the Development of Regions.

"To date, the contractor has carried out the demolition of the old emergency building of the hospital, carried out foundation work, tied floors and installed metal stands, beams and farms. Internal heating systems, water supply and sewage systems have been installed. Work is being carried out on the construction of the roof, installation of partitions and window units. Construction readiness of the facility is 48%,” the report says.

The Fund has allocated KGS 50 million.

As part of preparation for the possible second wave of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, construction of new infectious diseases hospitals is carried out in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Naryn Oblast, the works were started at the end of July this year.
