Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Sept. 9 as part of his working visit to Osh Oblast, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov familiarized with the construction of a new infectious diseases hospital in Osh city, his press service reported.
Director of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services Urmatbek Kokocharov informed that the new hospital will be designed for 100 beds.
As of today, the old building of the hospital has been completely demolished and a number of works have been completed, the facility from quickly erectable structures is planned to be put into operation in October this year.
President Jeenbekov noted the need to complete the work as soon as possible before the cold weather, at the same time, he drew attention to quality control.
He stressed that the hospital would be of great help in the fight against a possible second wave of coronavirus infection, as well as other infectious diseases that are expected in the autumn-winter period.
The Kyrgyz president toured the territory of the hospital and talked with the medical personnel, noting their invaluable contribution to the preservation of the health of the country's population.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov emphasized the importance of introducing digitalization in all spheres of society, including the health care system.
Construction of new infectious diseases hospitals is carried out in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Naryn Oblast, the works were started at the end of July this year.
