Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2021. / Kabar /. It is planned to build a paralympic sports center in Bishkek.
Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev met with para-athletes - pupils of the Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve in Tennis, Paralympic and Power Sports and also got acquainted with the state of two sports halls in the capital city.
During the meeting employees, coaches of the sports school turned to the mayor with a request to consider the construction of a center for paralympic sports.
In turn, the Bishkek mayor noted that the construction of this facility was included in the title plan for 2022 of the capital construction department.
The Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve in Tennis, Paralympic and Power Sports was founded in 1965. It has 6 departments: tennis, table tennis, para-arm wrestling, para-powerlifting, para-judo and para-taekwondo.
This school is the only sports school in Kyrgyzstan that has the Paralympic status and develops disabled kinds of sports in the country.
