Osh, Dec. 16, 2021. / Kabar /. A small hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 6 megawatts is being built in southern Kyrgyzstan in the village of Katran on the banks of the Kozu-Baghlan River, with the support of a local investor. The total estimated construction cost is USD 7 million.
Currently, the first phase of construction is completed by 80 percent. After the completion of the construction of a small hydroelectric power station, many social problems of the village will be resolved, and the villagers receive new jobs. The second phase of construction is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
