Bishkek, March 3, 2022 . / Kabar /. The construction of a textile factory worth $27 million continues in Kara-Balta town of Kyrgyzstan’s Chui Oblast, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported Thursday.
Within the framework of the project, deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Azygaliev met with Yilmaz Alduz, the representative of Decna Bishkek Textile company which is building the factory.
"During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of attracting investments in Kyrgyzstan, development of production and the project of the textile factory," the report said.
Thus, Azygaliev, as chairman from the Kyrgyz side at the forum of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the importance of developing economic ties between the two countries and expressed support for the opening of the textile factory.
The textile factory, the construction of which began last year, is located on a total area of 93 thousand square meters.
In conclusion, company representative Yilmaz Alduz pointed out that many foreign entrepreneurs, observing the process of building the new factory, have shown interest in investing.
"In addition, we intend to produce raw materials in Kyrgyzstan and start growing cotton," he said.
At the moment, USD 10 million is spent for the construction of the factory, and by 2025 is planned to spend USD 22 million. In turn, the total cost of the project is estimated at USD 27 million.
About 85% of the goods produced is planned to be exported to the neighboring countries and Europe.
