Bishkek, Sept. 12, 2022. / Kabar /. The construction of a hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 100 megawatts has begun in the village of Kulanak of Naryn Oblast.
The construction period of the HPP is 4 years. It will generate 450 million kWh of electricity annually. During the construction work, 500 people were employed, all the necessary conditions for work, including accommodation, were created for them. And after the launch of the enterprise, 100 jobs will be created. The estimated cost of construction is EUR 100 million.
The construction of a hydroelectric power plant will also benefit the irrigation system of the region, and improve the supply of irrigation water to the nearby Uchkun and Sary-Oi rural administrations.
