Bishkek, Dec.25, 2024. /Kabar/. “In 2024, construction works were actively carried out in our country. The pace of construction within member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) received the highest assessment,” said Director of the State Agency of Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan Nurdan Oruntaev on air of Birinchi Radio.

He added that in 2024 the volume of construction in Kyrgyzstan increased to 137%, while in 2023 this indicator was 112%.

“The growth of construction volumes has a positive impact on our economy, being its important component. This year, more than 2 million square meters of new housing was commissioned in the republic.

In addition, according to world standards, if the population increases by 200 thousand people per year, each citizen should be provided with 15 square meters of housing at market value. We aim to achieve this indicator next year. If we provide 200 thousand people with 15 square meters, the total volume will be about 3 million square meters. Earlier such indicators were not reached, but we are trying to achieve this goal”, Oruntaev concluded.
