Bishkek, Aug. 23, 2024 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov, as part of a working trip to the Jalal-Abad region, got acquainted with the progress of construction work on the alternative North-South highway.
The head of the Cabinet was told about the construction work being carried out on the tunnel at the Kok-Art pass, which is 3890 m long. The complex includes a road tunnel with a longitudinal service (multifunctional) adit.
The tunnel complex includes permanent ventilation buildings with an air supply system and a smoke removal system for tunnel operation, a ventilation chamber and an air pressurization chamber in the service adit, an underground transformer substation, fire-extinguishing pumping stations, control centers, as well as auxiliary rooms for additional equipment and electrical installations.
Currently, work is underway to lay the concrete pavement.
Completion of the main work on all sections of the alternative highway is expected in December 2024.
Akylbek Zhaparov gave a number of instructions for the timely and high-quality execution of construction work.
