Bishkek, Aug. 15, 2022 / Kabar /. Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Chicago, Bolotbek Borbiev, met with representatives of the Kyrgyz public diaspora associations on the basis of the Kyrgyz public center "Kyrgyz Community Center" in the United States.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this meeting was organized in order to familiarize citizens with the work of the newly established Consulate General, discuss topical issues on interaction in the field of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, economic diplomacy, culture, tourism, attracting investment in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as further maintaining close contacts and discussing joint long-term plans.
Borbiev noted that in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic “On taking measures aimed at improving the migration situation”, enhancing the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic staying abroad is the tasks of particular importance for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The consul general also expressed gratitude to the representatives of the Kyrgyz public diaspora associations in Chicago for their activity and assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was held in an open, constructive manner and in a friendly atmosphere.
