Consul General of Kyrgyzstan to Guangzhou meets with head of Guangdong Leather Association

Bishkek, April 8 / Kabar /. Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Guangzhou, Maksat Tentimishov, met on April 7, 2017 with Executive Director of the Guangdong Leather Association, Mr. Wang Jianxin.

At the meeting, the sides discussed the opportunities for cooperation in the production of leather goods and leather processing in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Consul General Tentimishov proposed to open the production of leather goods in Kyrgyzstan with further export to the market of the Eurasian Economic Union and to the countries of the European Union within the framework of the GSP + status.

"If there is sufficient raw material in Kyrgyzstan for production and a sales market, there necessarily will be people wishing to place production in the Kyrgyz Republic," Wang Jianxin said.

Speaking about the leather industry in China, Mr. Wang Jianxin said that about 65% of the country's leather goods are manufacturing in Guangdong.

Following the meeting the sides reached agreement on organizing a trip of a delegation of businessmen to Kyrgyzstan in summer of this year to study the opportunities on the spot.
