Bishkek, Mar. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. The Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic in Frankfurt am Main and the consulates general of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the consulate of Turkmenistan participated in a solemn event dedicated to the integration of foreigners in Germany, as well as on the occasion of the spring holiday Nooruz 2019, which was held jointly with the Mayor's Office of Frankfurt am Main in the town hall, located in the city center and is a historic landmark.
During the solemn banquet, the leadership of Frankfurt am Main Mayor's Office and one of the heads of the above-mentioned consulates made a speech, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
300 guests of the event, among whom were prominent statesmen and politicians of the Federal State of Hesse, representatives of the consular corps accredited in the state, as well as the diasporas of the mentioned countries of Central Asia, were offered national treats. The guests of the evening were able to get acquainted not only with the national cuisine, but also with the original culture and the presented folk art of the countries of the Central Asian region.
An event of this kind has been held in Frankfurt am Main for the first time and attracted the positive attention of a wide range of officials of the city and this federal state.
Certain representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora living in Frankfurt am Main and its district provided active support for the preparation of the participation of the consular office of the Kyrgyz Republic in such an event and the presentation of the country. In this regard, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany expresses great appreciation to their compatriots for the assistance provided, and notes that the cooperation of foreign institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany with the Kyrgyz diaspora, including in this format, clearly shows its transition to a new level of interaction and a positive trend of establishment of Kyrgyz diaspora in the Federal State of Hessen.
Nooruz or Nowruz is celebrated on the spring equinox, usually on March 21, and marks the beginning of a new year according to the astronomical solar calendar of the Iranian and Turkic peoples.
