Convicted for extremism and terrorism are kept in ward - Zhaparov

Bishkek, March 29, 2018. / Kabar /. Those convicted for extremism and terrorism are held in ward conditions, Chairman of the State Service for Execution of Punishment of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalaibek Zhaparov told reporters.

He said that there are about 400 people in the prison convicted for extremism and terrorism.

"New colonies are being built for imprisoned extremists and terrorists in Moldovanovka and Belovodsk," he said.

The chairman of the State Service said that some of the life-term convicts are held in a colony in the village of Jany-Jer, where a new prison is under construction.

"The first building has already been completed, the second one is under construction. After the completion, all convicts will be moved there,” he added.
