Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2024. / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov met with the Chinese delegation headed by Deputy Director of the Department for the Use of Foreign Capital and Provision of Investment Abroad of the State Development and Reform Committee of China Zhang Jianhua.
The Cabinet of Ministers reported that during the meeting, topical issues of the implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project were discussed.
The sides noted that the implementation of this project is of strategic importance and is the most important infrastructure link that opens up fundamentally new opportunities for the development of the economies and social spheres of the countries.
Within the framework of the intergovernmental agreement of June 6, 2024, a draft Investment Agreement is currently being developed between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Construction Company LLC.
