Bishkek, Sept. 12, 2017 / Kabar /. The opportunities for cooperation between Kyrgyz and German scientists in improving the environment is discussed at the Ministry of Education and Science, the press service of the Ministry reported.
Abdimannap Muratov, the director of the Department of Science under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic said that, the main goal of the meeting was the search for opportunities for joint work on the processing of solid domestic, liquid and gaseous wastes.
"There are 388 landfill sites in Kyrgyzstan. To improve the environment in Kyrgyzstan, the problem of landfill wastes should be solved," he said.
At the meeting innovative developments in waste processing were presented and a partnership with German scientists was discussed.
Head of the European Research Center of Cologne University Professor Miguel Bongans said, they are ready to return to Kyrgyzstan with a large delegation and conclude a cooperation agreement with the Department of Science of the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan, which could include the Metabolon project in Tokmok.
