Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan discussed in Latvia

Bishkek, Nov. 23, 2017 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Kubanychbek Omuraliev visited the Republic of Latvia on Nov. 16 to 19, 2017 to hold bilateral meetings and participate in official and solemn events dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that, bilateral meetings with representatives of the Latvian Foreign Ministry, the chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Latvian Parliament, as well as the leadership of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry were held within the framework of the visit.

During the meetings, the sides discussed issues of activation of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Latvia. The sides agreed that during the establishment of diplomatic relations, the Kyrgyz-Latvian cooperation was characterized by good development dynamics, there is a commonality in adherence to democratic values, an interest in deepening bilateral cooperation and cooperation in the international arena.

The sides reached an agreement on institutionalizing frequent meetings at the highest and highest levels, which in the future will create an effective platform for a constant exchange of views and implementation of the reached agreements.

In general, the sides expressed mutual interest in further enhancing the dynamics of the Kyrgyz-Latvian cooperation in all areas of interest.
