Cooperation with World Bank discussed in Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 11, 2018. / Kabar /. The Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan hosted a meeting of Minister Oleg Pankratov with the World Bank Global Practice Manager for Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Sandip Makhadzhan, who visited the Kyrgyz Republic for the first time.

The press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the main objectives of the mission are to familiarize with macroeconomic processes in the Kyrgyz Republic, economic reforms and strategic documents, as well as to inform about the progress of work in the framework of the Operation in support of development policies in the field of economic management.

The participants of the meeting discussed issues of cooperation with the World Bank, in particular, proposals for the provision of technical assistance to the World Bank, recent trends in the economic sector, reforms in the economy, measures to improve the quality of public investment, etc.
